On August 7, 2025, The Institute of Power Machinery and Vehicular Engineering hosted an academic exchange on zero-carbon engine technology. Invited by Prof. Dongwei Yao, Prof. Xinyan Wang from Brunel University of London delivered a keynote lecture titled "Zero-carbon Internal Combustion Engine Technology".
The presentation provided a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and opportunities facing transportation and power generation systems in the carbon neutrality era. Prof. Wang specifically highlighted current research trends in future fuels, including hydrogen, ammonia, biofuel and e-fuels.

Following the lecture, the delegation conducted a tour of the Institute's laboratories and engaged in an in-depth academic discussion regarding future developments in clean combustion research.
