On May 21, 2025, delegation led by Mr. Eric Shunmagum, General Manager in Eskom's Generation Division, visited the College of Energy Engineering, Zhejiang University and later proceeded to the Jiaxing Power Plant for a technical exchange.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Hao Chen, Chairman of the College Council, who extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests.

During the session, Prof. Chenghang Zheng, delivered a detailed introduction of college and the "Training Plan" tailored for South African power technical personnel. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding clean coal power generation technology, R&D collaboration, and knowledge exchange, reaching a consensus on multiple initiatives.

Following the meeting, the delegation conducted a site visit to the ultra-low emission demonstration unit and the corporate exhibition hall at the Jiaxing Power Plant. The delegates expressed high appreciation for China’s practical achievements in the field of clean energy.
