College of Energy Engineering Forges Partnership with Germany’s University of Magdeburg

On October 21, 2025, CHEN Hao, Chairman of the the College of Energy Engineering, met with Professor Evangelos Tsotsas, Dean of the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OvGU), Germany, along with his delegation, to the Yuquan Campus. The two sides held in-depth discussions on enhancing collaboration in education, scientific research, technological development, and innovation.

CHEN Hao extended a warm welcome to Professor Evangelos and expressed hopes for strengthened collaboration in talent cultivation, international project applications, and the establishment of joint laboratories. In his address, Professor Tsotsas noted that student exchanges and academic cooperation between Chinese and German universities play an important role in science and technology, as well as cultural understanding. He looked forward to further strengthening international cooperation and scholarly exchanges with the College of Energy Engineering.

During the visit, both parties exchanged insights on the latest disciplinary advances and research innovations, explored new pathways for collaboration, and officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
