On October 17-18, 2024, the College of Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University successfully held the international and domestic evaluation meeting of the scientific degree authorization points of power engineering and engineering thermophysics. The purpose of this evaluation is to comprehensively inspect and improve the construction quality and talent training level of degree authorization points.

At the international evaluation meeting, five academicians and experts served as members of the evaluation team and conducted an in-depth and detailed evaluation of the degree authorization points. The evaluation team spoke highly of the postgraduate training system of the College of Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University in the field of power engineering and engineering thermophysics, and believed that its training process was rigorous and standardized, and the training quality was high, which has reached the excellent level of world-class universities, and the comprehensive evaluation result was "excellent".

At the domestic evaluation meeting, the evaluation team also fully affirmed the remarkable achievements made by the College of Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University in talent training, scientific research, team building, social services, and cooperation and exchanges at home and abroad, and unanimously agreed that the construction of the degree authorization point has a clear positioning, clear training goals, and high training quality, and agreed to pass the evaluation.

During the evaluation process, the leaders of the college, the representatives of teachers and students had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the experts of the evaluation team, and conducted extensive discussions on the talent training model, the construction of the faculty team, and the international cooperation between disciplines and fields, and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions.
