Vice President Zhou Jianghong met with the delegation of KTH Royal Institute of Technology

On the morning of March 23, Mikael Lindström, Executive Vice President of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, visited Zhejiang University. Vice President Zhou Jianghong met with the guests, and relevant persons in charge of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Energy Engineering, the School of Optoelectronic Science and Engineering, and the International Joint College attended the meeting.

 

Zhou Jianghong welcomed the arrival of the delegation, introduced the latest development of Zhejiang University, and reviewed the fruitful cooperation achievements of the two universities since the establishment of the inter-university partnership 20 years ago. He said that as representative high-level universities in China and Switzerland, the two universities have many common advantages and broad prospects for cooperation, and he expects the two sides to continue to promote the joint training of high-level talents on the existing basis and build a model of high-level university education cooperation between China and Sweden.


Mikael Lindström expressed his gratitude to Zhejiang University for its warm reception and fully affirmed the results of the cooperation between the two parties. He introduced the key measures and achievements of KTH KTH in terms of talent training, discipline construction, world ranking, international cooperation, social responsibility, etc., and looked forward to the two universities to continue to consolidate and deepen their cooperation, work together to address world challenges and promote a sustainable future.

 

During the visit, the delegation also visited the International Campus of Zhejiang University (Haining Campus) and participated in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the cooperation between the two universities in the fields of optoelectronics and energy.

KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), founded in 1827, is Sweden's largest and oldest polytechnic institution. In 2003, Zhejiang University established a university-level partnership with the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, and the two universities have established a joint research center for photonics and clean energy, and carried out student exchange programs, joint bachelor's and master's programs, and double master's degree programs.
