The 2021 Ajou-Kyoto-Zhejiang Joint Symposium on Energy Science (online) successfully held

On November 29, 2021, the Ajou-Kyoto-Zhejiang Joint Symposium on Energy Science, organized by Ajou University in Korea, Kyoto University in Japan and Zhejiang University, was successfully held online.

 

The symposium was officially launched at 9:00 a.m. Beijing time with a welcome speech by Prof. Hye-Young Jang, Dean of the Institute of Energy Systems, Ajou University, expressing her expectation for the exchange of scientific results in this symposium. Then Prof. Keiichi N. Ishihara, former Dean of School of Energy Science, Kyoto University, pointed out that the symposium could be held back to ten years ago and was the result of long-term cooperation between all parties. On behalf of the College, Prof. Gao Xiang, Dean of the School of Energy Engineering, Zhejiang University, expressed his welcome to the future visits of from both universities to Zhejiang University and wished the symposium a great success.

The symposium was divided into two special sessions to offer young scholars more opportunity to present their ideas and solutions to energy challenges in the world. Each session was moderated by a professor who commented on the students' presentations and organized a Q&A session for the participants.

In the closing ceremony, Prof. Hirato Tetsuji, Dean of School of Energy Science, Kyoto University, and Prof. Hye-Young Jang, Director of Energy Systems Research Institute, Ajou University, delivered speeches to thank all the teams for their efforts. Prof. Huang Qunxing, Vice Dean of School of Energy Engineering, Zhejiang University, made a concluding speech, pointing out that the symposium had provided a good platform for all teachers and students, and declared the successful ending of this exchange activity.
