The annual conference of Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) was held in Chengdu city, during November 16-19, 2015. Academician Wenxuan Tao and researcher Yuan Zhou from the Chinese Academy of Science, academician Jun Wang from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and other famous experts, scholars and industry representatives in the field of refrigeration, a total number of 1200, took part in the conference.
At the meeting, awards such as Sci-Tech Contribution Award, Youth Award and so on were given by the CAR.
Prof. Guobang Chen form Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University and Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenics won the 6th Sci-Tech Contribution Award. Prof. Tao Jin and associate Prof. Xiaobing Zhang received the 7th Youth Award. The 6th and 7th awards ceremony were held in the same period due to the schedule arrangement problem.
The CAR Awards is awarded every two years. And at each session, the number of recipients of the Contribution Award is no more than two and the Youth Award no more than three.
