13th March, 2012, Prof. Zhou Weisheng, the outstanding alumnus of ZJU gave an academic report with title China and Japan's cooperation of energy and environment under Strategic and mutually beneficial.
Prof. Zhou Weisheng not only is the professor of Ritsumeikan University but also is the honorary president of Confucius Institute of Ritsumeikan University and ZJU alumni association of Japan.
Prof. Zhou has a deeply research on energy engineering, economy and society. He introduced the causal relationship between the climate change and global city, the necessary condition of sustainable development, and the strategy what China should take. He pointed out that only the complementary combination of varied kinds of energy can afford the energy system which support the sustainable development.
Prof. Zhou answered all the questions patiently. The report attracted all the attendants and broadened their views , enhanced their recognition about global climate and environment.
