On September 3rd of 2011, Institute for Thermal Power Engineering won the first place of TOP 10 Engineering Science Institutes of ZJU in summer working conference of faculty of enginnering. The aim is to promote research institute in science and technology research, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and innovative training of the Talent.
Institute for Thermal Power Engineering concentrates on fostering the patriotism, love of ZJU and major of the young; nourishing graduate students to meet the big need of nation and be close to the front of international course research; cultivating the spirit of teamwork among young teachers; actively seeking self-financing and funds from nation, promoting self-renovation achievement; conducting international cooperation and encouraging young teachers for further education abroad to participate in the whole process from fundamental research to application of Engineering, to fight for national awards, to promote their achievements to the nation and to the world. Meanwhile, the institute emphasizes education and teaching, improving teaching with research, promoting international education and building concepts of "Seeking truth, Teamwork, Innovation". Institute for Thermal Power Engineering obtained outstanding achievements in science and technology research, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and talent cultivation, which contributes much to the advancement in Engineering Science of ZJU.
